Many people wonder how I picked the name "Booms", and my personal friends that I know in real life, wonder why my e-mail and web addresses have stuff all over them about Booms. Well... here's the explanation:
Before starting IRC, I wanted to pick a nick that no one else had, and something that wouldn't be incredibly esoteric. I love music, car audio, and various electronics, and decided on the nick of "Booms" because people in the town I grew-up in would always come up to me and say: "I heard this really loud boom, boom, boom, outside last night, and I looked out the window, and you drove by." I always caught a lot of hell for having an awesome system, but I loved it nonetheless. If I wanted to listen to it at night, I would cruise around in the country so I wouldn't wake anyone up. Anyway... that's the story behind booms. RIP to my badly missed system. =(
